Best Shell Pictures: Eddie Hardy's Gastropod site (gastropods.com) 4000+ species illustrated so far. High quality photos!

Best Educational sites: General: Man and Mollusc: (manandmollusc.net) an inspirational resource site all about molluscs, malacology, conchology, etc. - for eager minds of all ages!!

.................................Specific: Cone toxin site: excellent!!

Best Museum or other Institutional sites: Australian Museum: A good site features links, etc. Definitely worth a visit!

....................................................................Tropical Marine Mollusc Program:  A fabulous site about molluscs of SE Asia - Taxonomic research, Ecological info, human-applications such as aquaculture, etc, and references & Links to all sorts of institutions around the world that also have programs relating to molluscs in this region.  Highly recommended!!

Most useful Shell-related Software: X-ray morphing, dancing shells!

Best Designed shell-related sites: Ease of navigation, use of colors and backgrounds, useful and interesting features, fewest things that don't work, and any other factors you like to look for in a site!!

Best Commercial shell sites (You can even nominate us!!): Luigi Raybaudi's site: the European prices are a bit higher, but this site, when it is finished, will have the most complete selection of shells on the internet!

..........................................Sanabel Seashell Industries: A visually beautiful site, with a wide variety of specimen and commercial shells.

..........................................Debbie Renlund's  Shell Art Site:  Offers all sorts of great shell art and novelties - worth a visit for certain!
..........................................Nature Preserved Fossil Shark's teeth: Ok, this isn't a shell site, but if you are at all interested in Fossil Shark's Teeth, this site is for you!

Most Entertaining or "Fun" shell-related sites: .....Ever wonder what shell dealers REALLY mean when they say cryptic things like "CLASSIC pattern!!"?? This site spills the beans!

Best Regional Sites: Molluscan Pictures For Southeast Asia, Chan Sow Yan's misleadingly named "Molluscan Pictures" (it's got EVERYTHING!!!!) site is Smashing beyond belief!!!! DOZENS of pages on every topic you can think of!  Go directly to the BOTTOM of the page, to get to the contents!

...........................: Caledonian Shells: For rare New Caledonian species, and the famous melanistic cowries, this is the site!

...........................: Tyrol Museum and Land Snails:   Austria: The malacological collection of the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum.  A short introducing of the natural history department of the Tiroler Landesmuseum Ferdinandeum Innsbruck and presenting its shell collection in a few lines and on images of some nice shells. It contains also a list of that persons, that have contributed to the collection either by donating or trading worldwide shells. Best Marine Conservation Sites: Our Marine Conservation Issues page is a "Meta-links" or "Links-to links" affair it points you to the Best (most complete and/or useful for various categories or topics) links pages related to Marine Conservation and Ecology, and general Ecological sites. Worth perusing, even if i do say so myself!!
